Cybersecurity—both prevention and response—frequently requires coordination between public- and private-sector organizations and expertise in technology, law, and policy. NYU Tandon School of Engineering is one of approximately 20 graduate schools in the country to have the designation of National Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cyber Operations. The CAE-Cyber Operations program is intended to be a deeply technical, interdisciplinary, higher education program firmly grounded in the computer science (CS), computer engineering (CE), and/or electrical engineering (EE) disciplines, with extensive opportunities for hands-on applications via labs/exercises.
The Offensive Security, Incident Response and Internet Security Laboratory (OSIRIS LAB)
The OSIRIS Lab is a security research environment where students analyze and understand how attackers take advantage of real systems. This approach gives our students a unique perspective and a proper foundation that allows them to master any area of security at NYU Tandon.
NYU Center for Cybersecurity
The NYU Center for Cybersecurity (CCS) is an interdisciplinary research institute consisting of members from NYU School of Law, NYU Tandon School of Engineering, and other NYU schools and departments. CCS is dedicated to training the current and future generations of cybersecurity professionals, and shaping public discourse and policy, legal, and technological landscapes on issues of cybersecurity. Additionally, CCS engages in a wide range of initiatives, including student scholarships, events, interdisciplinary research, and teaching.

NYU TANDON SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING
The NYU Tandon School of Engineering dates to 1854, the founding date for both the New York University School of Civil Engineering and Architecture and the Brooklyn Collegiate and Polytechnic Institute (widely known as Brooklyn Poly). A January 2014 merger created a comprehensive school of education and research in engineering and applied sciences, rooted in a tradition of invention and entrepreneurship and dedicated to furthering technology in service to society.
