U.S. Department of Homeland Security Quiz

About the Quiz

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Quiz tests your breadth and depth of knowledge in broad range of digital security topics. The covered topics include, but are not limited to, network security, cryptography, malware, application and web security, protocols, the history of digital security, digital forensics, and policy, risk management, and standards.

The quiz will be held at the School of Engineering on November 16-17, 2012 during CSAW. It is open to all High School, Undergraduate, and Graduate students who are present and registered for CSAW. There are no travel grants for this competition.

Event Registration

  • Event date: Friday November 16, Saturday November 17

  • The Prizes will be $1000 for first, $750 for second, and $500 for third.

Preliminary Round Information

Preliminary rounds will be held in room LC400. Rounds are organized for finalists in other CSAW events (except the Adobe Video Awareness), plus two more rounds open to all student attendees at CSAW. The finals will be on Saturday, November 17th, so preliminary round winners must be prepared attend.
