Academic Attire

The School of Engineering is pleased to announce a change in attire from previous years: Graduates will wear purple robes for commencement exercises in 2012. Students last year asked for the change, and after a survey was conducted that indicated majority supported, the School of Engineering decided to honor the request.

Graduates participating in either the School of Engineering or NYU commencement exercises must wear the robes, which you can request here and which will be yours to keep. Please select “NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering” in the drop-down menu on that page.

Orders not placed before or by April 2 will incur additional fees.

*PLEASE NOTE* We will distribute tickets and attire on Tuesday, May 1, on the Brooklyn campus in Regna Lounge from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. You are required to RSVP and order attire prior to pick up. If you cannot pick up your tickets and attire in person, you may designate a substitute. See this form for more information.

To ensure all graduates are treated fairly, each will receive a maximum of two guests tickets per commencement ceremony (School of Engineering and / or NYU), depending on the RSVP. We regret that there are no exceptions.
