Veteran Entrepreneur Training

Join the competitive Veteran Entrepreneur Training (VET) Program for veterans who are targeting a transition into the technology industry. Learn from startups and industry leaders via hands-on experiential learning, mentorship, and capstone projects. Our curriculum combines business and tech, creating a hybrid program which blends  hands on learning from leaders in New York’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, with our personalized VET training. Our 10-week winter curriculum is designed to leverage your goals into career opportunities and potential ventures. Upon successful completion, participants will earn a VET Certificate from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering Incubators.

Application Requirements

Applicants must be Military Veterans with a demonstrated interest in, and passion for entrepreneurship and technology.

Must have your DD-214

Certificate Requirements

Participants seeking a VET Certificate must complete all coursework and the Capstone project.


The 10-week program is split into three parts: a five-day intensive onboarding week followed by 8 weeks of one day per week in-class lectures and out of the class field venture validation. The program is concluded in week 10 with two showcases: an internal invite-only presentation to the stakeholders of the program and a public Demo Day.

Students accepted into the program will be allowed to work out of the incubators during the entirety of the 10 weeks and will be given a portfolio of resources to supplement the lectures in an effort to catalyze their ventures.
