NYU Future Labs is the home of Bunker Labs New York, an initiative to advance veteran entrepreneurship in New York City
VET is designed for veterans who want to transition into entrepreneurship after completing their service. The program is made possible by support from New York Assemblyman Joseph Lentol.
VET is open to veterans with early-stage companies or ideas for companies. Participants in the program will learn from academic experts and industry leaders through hands-on experiential learning, mentorship, and capstone projects. Through the program’s business and technology training, participants will be given the tools to turn aspirations into career opportunities and new ventures. Upon successful completion, graduates will earn a VET Certificate from the NYU Future Labs and Bunker Labs New York.
The NYU Future Labs and Bunker Labs New York launched a new pilot veteran incubator located in the Digital Future Lab.
Bunker Labs New York supports its early-stage startups through access to mentors and industry leaders, community events and other entrepreneurship-specific services, such as legal, technical, and design work. Accepted companies will also receive heavily subsidized premium office space.
Ideal applicants will be beyond the MVP stage with proven product-market fit, significant sales traction, and seed stage investment.
The application deadline for the Fall 2016 session has passed.
