In 2012, The NYU Incubators and the Wasserman Center for Career Development at the School of Engineering launched a new program called SPIKE (Skill-based Program for Incubator Knowledge and Employment). SPIKE is a graduate-level internship program designed to empower students with the knowledge and experience needed to thrive in startup and professional environments.
This program aims to support the companies developing in the NYU Incubators while simultaneously providing an opportunity for students to learn the skills necessary to find employment after completing their studies. Students will be immersed in an entrepreneurial environment that will challenge their abilities and knowledge against real world problems. They will be directly impacting the outcome of the startups through diligent work while gaining new skills they would not otherwise be exposed to.
Program dates: Feb. 17th, 2015 - May 8th, 2015
All students who apply to SPIKE must meet the basic criteria of the GSET program.
Students who are accepted into the program will be expected to attend regular seminars focused on entrpreneurship, skill development, and professional development. Additional details will be provided upon acceptance.
Full-time NYU students enrolled or taking course at the School of Engineering. Students must be able commit to 200 hours during the semester.
Students can apply on CareerNET. For questions, concerns, or comments---email the SPIKE Program Manger.
