SPIKE (Skill-based Program for Incubator Knowledge and Employment) is a graduate-level fellowship program designed to empower students with the knowledge and experience needed to thrive in startup and professional environments. The NYU Incubators and the Wasserman Center for Career Development at NYU launched the program in 2012.
This program aims to support the companies developing in the NYU Incubators while simultaneously providing an opportunity for students to learn the skills necessary to find employment after completing their studies. Students will be immersed in an entrepreneurial environment that will challenge their abilities and knowledge against real world problems. They will be directly impacting the outcome of the startups through diligent work while gaining new skills they would not otherwise be exposed to.
