NYU Future Labs is the home of the Veterans Future Lab, an initiative to advance veteran entrepreneurship in New York City
VET is designed for veterans who want to transition into entrepreneurship after completing their service. The program is made possible by support from New York Assemblyman Joseph Lentol.
VET is open to veterans with early-stage companies or ideas for companies. Participants in the program will learn from academic experts and industry leaders through hands-on experiential learning, mentorship, and capstone projects. Through the program’s business and technology training, participants will be given the tools to turn aspirations into career opportunities and new ventures. Upon successful completion, graduates will earn a VET Certificate from the Future Labs at NYU Tandon.
The Future Labs at NYU Tandon launched a new pilot veteran incubator, the Veterans Future Lab, located at the Digital Future Lab.
The Veterans Future Lab is an initiative to advance veteran entrepreneurship in New York City through supports its early-stage startups through access to mentors and industry leaders, community events and other entrepreneurship-specific services, such as legal, technical, and design work. Accepted companies will also receive heavily subsidized premium office space.
Ideal applicants will be beyond the MVP stage with proven product-market fit, significant sales traction, and seed stage investment.
