The purpose of the Polytechnic Institute Alumni Association (PIAA) is to promote and maintain the welfare of its members and the Institute. The principal activities of the Association to achieve the purposes set forth the PIAA bylaws shall include, but are not necessarily be limited to:

  • supporting continuing education of alumni in the areas of technical, managerial, financial, and cultural education;
  • providing alumni with information and assistance in job placement and other career advancement opportunities;
  • involving alumni and others in University fund raising;
  • involving alumni in student recruitment and retention;
  • furthering the growth and functions of the Association and promoting fellowship among and between alumni and the NYU Tandon School of Engineering; and
  • fostering communication with and between alumni.

The Annual Meeting of the Polytechnic Institute Alumni Association, Inc. (PIAA) will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 6:00 pm EDT, in room LC400 of New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering, 5 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201. The agenda for this meeting will include a motion to approve the corporate dissolution of PIAA, incorporated under the New York Not-for-Profit Corporation Law. All alumni of the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, Polytechnic Institute of New York, Polytechnic University, Polytechnic Institute of New York University, NYU School of Engineering and Sciences and/or NYU Tandon/Polytechnic School of Engineering are invited to attend the meeting and vote on the proposal or to vote by proxy.
