Federal Direct PLUS Loans

For loans over $30,000 a repayment plan of 25 years may be requested.  Change the 120 months to 300 months to determine the monthly payment.   

Federal Consolidated Loans

The results will include the weighted interest rates and the monthly payments for the appropriate term length.  Term length will depend on total amount being consolidated.  

Private Alternative Loans

You will need to know the current interest rate on your private loans.  If your interest is more than 9% then you will need to use one of the other sites above.  Stay in contact with your lender to determine your payment term options.  Terms can range between 10 and 30 years depending on the loan amount and the lender.  

Most private loans have a variable interest rate and are subject to change every month, every three months or every year.
