Welcome to New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering – a community of scientists and scholars committed to serving society and shaping the future.

Your arrival signifies an important step in your journey of personal and professional development – a journey of invention, innovation, and active learning. At times, this journey will be taxing, as the university experience is not a simple extension of high school training. To realize your vision, you must understand that your continued education will be defined by rapidly advancing scholarship. You must learn to make the most of your time at the School of Engineering. We will do everything in our power to make your transition from high school to a research-intensive university as smooth as possible. That being said, we are counting on you to be proactive in your educational experience.

This is an exciting time for the School of Engineering, as we have incorporative numerous student-centered programs to enhance all aspects of your educational experience. Some of the initiatives that will contribute to your experience include:

  • An innovative curriculum bringing the notions of invention, innovation and entrepreneurship in your academic experience
  • Campus-wide intellectual and scholarly activities
  • Ability to complete course offerings at other schools of New York University
  • Participation in professional groups, honor societies, national and international conferences, competitions and events
  • Study Away and exchange opportunities
  • Mentored undergraduate research programs during the academic year and summer
