Below is a list of critical dates connected to your first semester registration process. Please note the dates associated with the release of the Comunity Standards Module, Student Response System Tutorial, and Pre-registration Tutorial--watching these recordings will make sure that you are well informed of the registration process and cleared before the registration appointment period. Your registration appointment date is determined based on your major and is designed to make sure that you are able to enroll in all of your first semester courses without incident. Participating in enrollment activities, on your appointment day, will yield the most optimal scheduling outcomes — please add all of the relevant dates (see below) to your personal calendars!
If you need to update your declared major, so that it better reflects your current academic interests, then please do so by the above date.
Please note: If you are required to take this exam, then you should make every effort to complete this placement exam by June 14, if you are in, or able to get to, the NYC area. This informational package will be released in NYU Classes, our course management system, on this date. You must complete this module, in advance of the opening of the registration period, as a part of the enrollment clearance process.
Similar to the Community Standards module, the Student Response System tutorial will reside in NYU Classes and will become availble on this date. You must complete the tutorial as a part of the enrollment clearance process.
The Pre-registration Tutorial will be released on this date. You must complete this instructional package, before the start of the registration appointment period, in order to be cleared for enrollment before your appointment. If you are a member of the General Studies (GS) or Opportunity Programs (OP), then you will receive additional information about the registration process by email.
Registration takes place online in two stages: the appointment period and open enrollment. During the appointment period, you will be assigned to a specific timeframe, lasting for approximately thirty-six hours, to register for classes.
If you are not able to go online during the appointment period, then you can complete your registration during the open enrollment period.
Wednesday, July 5th – Monday, September 18th
Please make sure that you submit your AP or transfer credits, taken throughout your high school career, to the admissions office by this deadline. Complying with this deadline will allow any awarded credits to be factored into the creation of your fall schedule.
