The ECE department at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering (School of Engineering) is offering two, prestigious, 2-year faculty fellows (with a Research Assistant Professor title) starting Fall 2012. These research faculty fellowships are expected to jump start strong academic research careers of outstanding fresh PhDs in ECE.
The faculty fellows are expected to collaborate with ECE faculty as well as carry out independent research. The faculty will mentor them in independent research as well as in successful grant writing.
In addition, they are required to teach one class per semester in their area of specialization. Resources from the School of Engineering Center for Faculty Innovations in Teaching and Learning and NYU Center for Teaching Excellence will be available in aiding them become better teachers.
At the end of the two-year fellowship, we expect these faculty fellows to be highly competitive (in terms of independent research accomplishments, successful research grants, and course development and teaching) for positions in leading research universities.
We are seeking recent Ph.Ds (who received a PhD no earlier than June 2009) with research interests relevant to the ECE Department at NYU Poly (eeweb.poly.edu).
