NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering's Promise Scholarship Fund has helped students fulfill their dreams of earning a college degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics since 1988. As our largest scholarship program, the Fund has raised over $15 million in financial aid and supported thousands of students. Many recipients are from minority groups, the children of immigrants and the first in their families to attend college. Many are also women, a traditionally underrepresented group in science and engineering.
The Promise Scholarship Fund also underwrites the Institute’s primary pre-college outreach programs for inner-city youth. These programs encourage talented students in elementary, middle and high school to pursue careers in science and engineering. High school students are given the opportunity to attend select undergraduate courses offered at the Institute and to collaborate with faculty on research projects during the summer.
Your contribution to the Promise Scholarship Fund allows us to attract talented, highly-qualified applicants who may not be able to afford to attend the Institute without financial assistance. Last year, 53% of our students received this much-needed, highly-deserved support from the Promise Scholarship Fund as a result of our generous alumni and friends.
